Hygienist

Fran joined our team in 2002. Born in Robersonville and grew up there. Went to University of Chapel Hill and graduated in 1982 with her dental hygiene degree.

Family: Husband - Matt; son Thomas and his wife, Whitney, with their two children, Wyatt and Tucker; daughter Bailey and we can't forget the grand dog, Cooper.

Susan
Hygienist

Susan joined our team in 2019. She was born and grew up in Raleigh. She received a business degree from Meredith before pursuing her dental hygiene degree from Wayne Community College.

Pet: Sixty-pound mutt named Bo
In her spare time: loves spending lots of time at Ocean Isle

Emily
Hygienist

Emily joined our practice in 2021. Emily grew up in Vietnam and came to the US in 2010 where she fell in love with Raleigh. Emily completed her hygiene degree through Wake Tech's hygiene program.

Hobbies: Cooking and gardening.
Random Fact: An addiction to purchasing more roses every year for her gardens.
Family: Son-Brian, the love of her life. (Again- don’t tell her husband)

Victoria
Hygienist

Victoria joined our team in Feb 2024. She was born and raised in Dallas/Fort Worth, Texas. She attended the University of Oklahoma.

Pet: Poppy, goldendoodle and the love of her life (Don’t tell her husband!)

Dee Dee
Assistant

Dee Dee has been with Dr Polhemus for 22 years. She was born and grew up in Raleigh. She has always had a passion for dentistry and helping others. Dee Dee graduated from the Wake Tech dental assisting program. She has over 31 years of experience in dentistry and has worked in Pedo, Ortho, Oral Surgery and General Dentistry.

Guilty Pleasure: Cupcakes
Pets: Bentley, Bernedoddle
In her spare time: spending time with friends, family and her dog, working out, and world travels

Kourt
Assistant

Kourt graduated from the dental assisting program at Wake Tech in 2023 and joined our practice the same year. She decided to work in healthcare because she enjoys meeting and getting to connect with new people.

Hobbies: Soap Making, creating merch for sporting teams, and reading
Spare Time: Taking walks, playing with her dog, going to hockey games

Heather
Office Administrator

Heather joined the team in 2004. Heather grew up on North Carolina living in Sylva and Fayetteville before coming to Raleigh to attend North Carolina State University.

Proudest Accomplishment: Her son Mateo.
Addiction: Pens, Paper, Notecards, Notebooks (Think Office Depot and Hallmark combined)
Random Fact: Listens to audiobooks at a 2.40 speed.

Brando is our newest member of the family here at the office. He can often be caught napping on the job.
